Bed & Breakfast

I stayed in the Heron Kingsize suite on Fri with my husband and was not disappointed, the room was absolutely beautiful & romantic. The hosts were lovely as were the home cooked breakfast. Will definitely be back very soon.

My boyfriend and I had a 2 night stay here which my boyfriend booked as a Valentine’s treat and I genuinely couldn’t fault it. The room was beautiful and immaculately clean, comfy bed too. The bathroom was really modern, I couldn’t wait to use the huge bath! Lorraine couldn’t do enough for us, we were given milk on arrival for hot drinks in the room. Breakfast was great, my boyfriend had the full English and I am vegetarian so I had blueberry pancakes made fresh by Lorraine which were delicious!!! On the second morning I had a veggy cooked breakfast which was excellent too.

This is more like a luxury hotel than a B&B, in a beautiful location too, we will definitely be returning! Brownie points to the boyfriend for finding this little gem!

One of the best B&B’s we ever stayed!! Simply fantastic.

“We are just back from a 2 night stay in Mill House and we’re super impressed! This is by far one of the best B&B’s we ever stayed in our life time! First the whole house is located in a very serene location with a beautiful lake next to it. It is close to Lake District and very ideal place to stay if you want to visit Lake District. Location is close the A6, north of Preston on the edge of a picturesque village and sits in fabulous gardens next to the River Wyre. It is an ideal base for exploring this part of Lancashire.

The rooms and the whole house is very well maintained and super clean.  Now coming to the hosts, Lorraine and Andrew both are excellent hosts and very friendly. Lorraine showed us around the house and the lake first day and have information about where to eat etc. The following 2 days we were severed fantastic English breakfast with Homemade Bread, Homemade jams and a choice of item made on the spot for each of us. Really very very impressed. There is nothing I could find a fault with our stay and I am sure I will be visit this place many more times in future.”

Wedding Anniversary at Mill House

“We have just returned from Mill House after celebrating our wedding anniversary there. It is a truly stunning venue both inside and out. And the hosts, Lorraine and Andrew are lovely people and are the icing on the cake.

The rooms are beautiful with lovely ensuites and the lounge and dining area are a nice place to spend some time.

The breakfasts that are cooked by Lorraine are just the job to start the day with proper home cooked food and self made bread and jams. Can recommended the full English breakfasts and poached eggs.

When you venture out, there are a couple of local pubs within easy walking distance that have a great atmosphere and food, The Horns and The Punchbowl.

We can’t recommend the Mill House highly enough and will be back there very soon.”

Fabulous Time At The Mill House

“Thanks so much for a lovely stay over at the Mill House. You were both so welcoming and couldn’t do enough to make our stay special. The rooms were luxurious and the bathroom was so amazing. The view is idyllic and so peaceful – the perfect place to relax and just chill out with a glass of wine. Garstang is a quaint village with some lovely shops and great pubs next to the canal. We found a fabulous pub in Churchtown (a short walk) called the Punchbowl, where the food was excellent too. Looking forward to our next visit. Thanks again.“

Luxurious break away…

“Just back from a 2 night stay at the mill house. Wow … The Millhouse oozes luxury throughout. No expense has been spared from the lovely Lorraine and Andrew. A perfect relaxed friendly atmosphere.

Stayed in The Willow room, everything was just perfect. Wide variety for breakfast,more than enough of top quality produce,from homemade bread to homemade preserves.nothing is a problem for the hosts. Will definitely be returning.“
